Two female artists are showing works on the topic of InnLandscapes that couldn´t be more different in attitude and manner.
ALICE DITTMAR (Berlin)
fills squaremetre-size photographic paper with fine ballpoint pen strokes, flow-like, in repetitive ductus.
One, two, and up to three layers become a seemingly metallic surface that allows the underlying photo subject to only emerge gradually for the viewer.
KARIN HERBER (Vienna) howver seems to dance across her formats with pencil, ink or coloured pens, wild and passionate, with palpable energy;
other works again very playfully, but densly composed.
Thus the classical theme of landscape drawing turns into a vibrant tension in this juxtaposition - virtually a pleasure viewing it.
